The HYRIS bKIT™ Virus Finder COVID-19 Saliva is a CE-IVD real-time RT-PCR assay intended to be used for the in vitro diagnostic qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid in saliva specimens collected by a healthcare professional from individuals suspected of COVID-19 disease.
Therefore, no sample extraction is mandatory prior to the RT-qPCR. The SARS-CoV-2 RNA detection occurs through specific primers and probe sets for the viral nucleocapsid gene (N gene).

- 2019-nCoV_N1: nucleocapsid (N) gene for specific detection of SARS-CoV-2 (FAM)
- RPP30: human RNase P as sampling and RT-qPCR control (HEX)
